Privacy officer

In accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), Index Studio has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for the protection of personal information. For any question, request or complaint, please use our contact form.

Information collected

Index Studio collects only personal information necessary for its activities, including:

  • Contact information (name, organization, email) you provide via the contact form or by email;
  • Account information (email, securely stored password) when you use the online editor;
  • Content you upload or create in the online editor;
  • Limited technical data (IP address, browser type) for security, fraud prevention, and service operation purposes.

Purposes of collection

Your personal information is used exclusively to: respond to your requests, provide and maintain our services, prevent abuse and fraud, and comply with our legal obligations.

Hosting and disclosure to third parties

User accounts and online editor content are hosted in Canada (Montréal and Toronto).

To provide its services, Index Studio also uses cloud subprocessors for sending and receiving emails as well as for site security. Some of these services may be processed outside Canada, primarily in the United States. Index Studio selects subprocessors that provide contractual security and confidentiality commitments consistent with industry practices. An up-to-date list of subprocessors is available upon request via our contact form.

Retention

Your personal information is kept as long as necessary for our services then destroyed within a maximum of 60 days, except for information whose retention is required by law.

Your rights

Law 25 grants you rights with respect to your personal information:

  • Right of access to your information;
  • Right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Right to discontinuation of dissemination or de-indexing;
  • Right to withdraw consent;
  • Right to portability of computerized information;
  • Right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Security

Index Studio implements reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.
